Intent
My design explores the idea of vulnerability in relation to emptiness and lack. By removing elements that the user would normally have in their surroundings and replacing them with something unconventional, my design will take the user out of their natural comfort zone.
Rationale of Cohesion
The aesthetic choices I have made for my design and the various boards have been consistent throughout the majority of my project. The theme of lack or emptiness, or my interpretation of it, has allowed me to create a very galactic and other worldly visual embodiment. This other worldly visual gives the audience an insight into how one should feel when actually entering the Oasis Books store, as well as exposing just how truly alien our own minds can be to ourselves.
Draft
The internal view of my design is from the perspective of a user that is inside the space. The environment of the store gives that user a feeling of walking on water as the glass supports them. Though this feeling could be seen as empowering, to those who haven't experienced it very often, it could be very uncomfortable. This is the intention of my design and I believe that it conveys that feeling very well.
